flyingfinn A 'nearly' run. Good for 15 miles and then the legs remembered the four days hard skiing last weekend. Hung on to the top of the climb out of Baslow but couldn't kick-on and lost 5 places along the edges as my legs went wooden. Fortunately two of them then went for picnic in the woods ;-) Dark Peak Fell Runners Club 2:50:49 2:50:49 2:50:49 60.90

rollerman Well pleased with that one, did not really expect to be much under the 4 hour mark. Almost 21 minutes quicker than last year. Long Eaton Running Club 3:40:02 3:40:02 3:40:02 46.89
Boba Not really a race as being my longest run in marathon training. Not knowing what to expect and not wanting to risk injury, ran at a very steady pace.
Will definatley train for and run this again next year. Hopefully sub 3:30

PJL Well, I knew this would be hard having recce'd the route in 2 parts, and I knew I had to take it easy to start with to avoid suffering later, but guess what? I forgot all about that once I got started and thought I could keep up with IanM and Stella. How wrong could I be? Realised my mistake at about halfway and eased off, but the damage was done. Pace gradually slowed from 20k onwards, with cramp threatening in various leg muscles, and the last stretch along the edges was a major struggle to keep plodding along. In the end, I was surprised by how much abuse my legs had put up with and very pleased with my time. Unaffiliated 3:19:32 3:19:32 3:30:00 3:19:32 48.41
