bedlam_g Seemed to sleep through this one, for some reason had no target pace in mind, mentally tired and had loads of niggles from 6 weeks of 5 hard PB attempt road races. After a few shockers in this race it looks I subconsciously played it safe. Pos 30th & 4th MV40. hannkies Not too bad, didn't think I'd run as I had a cold all week but gave it a go with a less ambitious target time than I'd hoped for a few weeks ago. Aimed for the 80 minute mark, but 6 minute miled all the way so pleased with that. Finished 47th. Kilmarnock Harriers & AC, Scottish Veteran Harriers Club 1:15:52 1:17:34 1:20:00 1:18:55 77.60

KazzA Was dreading this race, not confident of fitness and just wanted it to be over. BUT….ended up really, REALLY enjoying the run!
Great day and great atmosphere. Started quite slow but felt stronger as race went on…..until last few miles, which obviously hurt like hell :)
On start line I did say ‘do not let me enter this next year’ but crossed the finish line looking forward to doing it again next year-haha!

briandarroch A very slow first mile and the 2nd wasn't much quicker. The 1:35 pace maker passed me and I stayed with him for just over a mile and then I picked the pace up. Felt tired going through the Pollock Park but managed to pick things back up at 10 miles and even managed a sprint finish to get by a friend you tried to overtake me from the last corner Kilmarnock Harriers & AC, scottish athletics 1:34:47 1:34:47 1:34:59 1:34:47 63.56

Gogsy! My slowest half but my most enjoyable as the pacing needed to be spot on due to the lack of miles in my legs & the weather conditions were great for me. Very nice run through the Glasgow parks but some of the other bits were a bit 'so-so'.
Managed a 5 minute negative split & finished feeling good but the 80% WHR probably shows I couldn't have done better on the the day.
With some many fetchies running I only managed to see the cheery Jacs en-route. JogScotland Rosemount 1:54:02 2:10:52 2:15:00 2:10:52 51.92

Dvorak A bit better than I thought it might be. Ran/ walked it pretty rigidly as I knew I hadn't trained enough. Surprisingly warm. Dragged it up to fourth slowest ever half. And all body parts appear to remain functional afterwards. Unaffiliated 1:53:58 2:00:50 2:20:00 2:15:44 46.65

Wasn't so keen on the last mile that went on like..forever! Slowly getting my running shit back together after a long break and want to keep at it. Unaffiliated 1:57:18 2:15:35 2:22:39 47.32
