daviec Start was a bit conjested but got up to race pace as we went. Had a couple of slower miles in the middle and had to concentrate on my form to hold on. Clawed it back a bit as the miles went on and missed my target of going sub 40 by 11 seconds!! Might be able to update it when the chip times are published but I think that's fairly accurate. A new PB by nearly 4 minutes!! *Update* Official time was 40:48. Not as close to sub 40 as I thought, but still within my target range and a big PB. Going for sub 40 at Stranraer in November now. Carnegie Harriers 36:20 38:31 39:59 40:48 65.51
dd Gonna try my best to PB for this one. But no guarantees :)
*update* little chance of a PB in this one due to the congestion in the first 3k. Even though I managed to run further than ever before in a 10k and put in a gallant series of 6min run/walk k's in the last 4 k's it wasnt to be due to 8 - 8.30 min k's in the first part. At one point on the bridge I was still attempting to run when others around me were walking at the same pace! I thought the last time I did this race two years ago was bad for congestion as I was in the slowest yellow group. But this (in the green group) was much much worse. Not too happy :( sorry to all my bet-ers :( Unaffiliated 1:01:42 1:13:57 1:12:00 1:14:27 41.32

Tigerlily My first 10k! Ran/walked my way round..and was just glad to get finished. I had taxi fare in my pocket just in case! Gave me my first experience of a 'proper' running event. Now I realise why people train! Unaffiliated 55:00 1:16:14 1:19:29 38.71
