Boycie came down with a cold on Saturday morning - still wasn't feeling too good on the morning of the race. As it was a 3 loop course, decided to give it a go and take it steady, knowing i could drop out at 9 or 15 miles if things weren't going great. Bizarrely felt good during the run, chatting and joking with a club mate until mile 15, at which point I decided to try and pick up the pace a little. Finished in the end in 2.16.48. Glevum Runner Whoops, supposed to be a training run one week before Barry 40 mile track race. Raced the day before as well. Ended up nearly 6 min miling for the last 8 miles, and was mainly 6:40 pace for the first 12 miles. Gloucester AAC, Road Runners Club 2:06:09 2:10:59 2:25:00 2:10:59 74.13
