PJL Shame the weather spoiled plans for a family weekend at this event, but I had a great day out anyway. Thought I had paced it perfectly for the revised 17k route, only to find that this stretched out to 18.8k! 58th out of 303 (19%). Unaffiliated 1:31:54 50.77

Velociraptor Garmin consensus is that the actual distance was just under 19k, and 410m of ascent and descent. Lots of interesting underfoot conditions, but not nearly as much weather as had been forecast. I think the call to omit the Pass was a lazy one and was very disappointed. Dogtanian Really disappointed that the main race didn't go ahead. The conditions didn't seem that bad but I can appreciate that this event attracts (and is marketed towards) people who don't usually run in the hills and may not have the knowledge to take responsibility for themselves out there. If the main event can be dropped so lightly then it's put me off entering future Lakeland Trail events though. On saying that, the alternative course was actually a good route, I just couldn't really get motivated for it. The Juicer Hugely disappointed by the change of course, and thought it made this seem poor value for money. Enjoyed the run plenty, but the miles seemed to be flying by far too quickly, and I was almost pleased about the last few toughie miles, which seemed like a bonus as the course began to stretch far beyond the advertised 17k. TBH think I've been a bit spoiled by the move the Yorkshire, and having that sort of running freely available on my doorstep. Todmorden Harriers & AC 2:00:02 44.75

Skunk garmin said 11.65 miles! enjoyed it but the last two hills killed me as i thought it was all downhill from there and had a great mile 7 + 8 as i was pacing for 17k! Wakefield Triathlon Club 1:43:54 44.61
