Grey Badger Excellent race. Well organised, great marshalls, very enjoyable. Good course with 2 climbs on 2nd and 5th miles. The climb on the 5th mile lasting for about .75 of a mile, thought it was never going to end. Really pleased with my time as i've got acouple of niggling injuries. Lisrun This is a lovely run. 5min before the start it started to rain very heavily, but it stopped for the start and for the rest of the race. We still have very mild weather. The course was much muddier than last year, but my first outing in my new trail shoes gave me a lot more confidence on the slippery surfaces (one runner in front of me nearly fell in the river when he slipped - it was particularly muddy in that area). The second hill was as daunting as ever and I managed to only walk twice this year, but my time for that mile was slower than last year (over 12 min !) although I was 2 min faster overall which was great. Screeners First time I'd done this, hadn't really done any training so just grateful to get around and not be last. Hills v v hard and last two miles I thought I'd never see the end. But felt good when it was finished. Elswick Harriers 1:07:13 1:13:00 1:13:00 46.63
