Monster Feet Gun time, although started at the back as felt was only capable of plodding. Very pleased with a totally unexpected PB, although it is still ridiculously soft and can't wait for a 10 mile when am actually training well and on form. Watch time 1:23:34. Lovely weather :) Unaffiliated 1:24:14 1:24:14 1:25:00 1:24:14 58.17

Hash A personal worst, ho hum. I did enjoy it, though, especially the second half once it got a bit less crowded. I kept thinking we were running downhill all the way, until someone explained to me that that's what flat feels like! Unaffiliated 1:23:03 1:30:31 1:27:00 1:30:31 58.18
Tim of Fife I didn't 'turn up' mentally for this one at all and can't really say that I enjoyed it very much as an experience. Also, my poor little 'gym softened' legs didn't take too kindly to the pot-hole, muddy and puddle-strewn terrain.

Per my stop-watch, I clocked 77.29 (out - 38.42 / home - 38.47), which placed me 288th of the 831 finishers. A PB by just over 4 minutes for what it's worth. But that's not really the point for me - I didn't have fun!.

For the record, my mile splits were:- 7.49 / 7.32 / 7.52 / 7.57 / 7.32 / 7.49 / 7.40 / 7.58 / 7.49 / 7.31 Unaffiliated 1:17:29 1:17:29 1:17:29 61.78

pants Ants Disappointed with getting 1 min slower on this race each year for past 2 years. Excuses include still recovering from last week's cold and too much faster running mid week. Was never going to be great as I had mentally written off my time for this year so very poor mental attitude Unaffiliated 1:06:30 1:08:55 1:08:55 64.43

Gobi I ran the Fred Hughes 10(16kms) finishing 4th in 56.03. 4(6.4kms) miles before and 5(8kms) miles afterwards. All done faster than last Sunday.

The race was good for 7.5 miles as I marched through the field but some twists and turns and more wind than expected during the last few miles hurt a little. All in all I am happy and took time out of the chap in 3rd in those last few miles.

The course was not as we expected but still fast enough for the workout we were looking for. Cannock & Stafford AC 56:02 56:03 57:00 56:03 79.64

GrahH Not my best. Respectable enough time I guess but never seemed to find my pace after the first 5. 2.5 minutes faster than last year but no PB. Still, its the fastest I've run for a bit so can't complain I guess. Harpenden Arrows 1:14:21 1:21:59 1:18:00 1:22:32 60.55

BrianJ Really ought to PB this...did by a minute :-) Conditions a lot better than expected - almost perfect, just a bit of a headwind in the last couple of miles. Used own Garmin time as organisers used gun/chip time - a retrograde step, it was fully chipped last year North Herts Road Runners 1:40:15 1:40:25 1:40:00 1:40:25 50.21
auburnette Ran this as a tester for Watford half (and also Fleet, where I plan to try and PB). Pretty much exactly what I expected, felt very good most of the way round this and running comfortably and within myself. Shows that I am not far off being in good form again. Lovely weather.

The time I've recorded is my Garmin time as the actual time is about a minute out (gun-chip). Will probably do this again next year. Good race. Orpington Road Runners 1:17:23 1:29:24 1:30:00 1:29:24 54.81
Ally C Struggled badly into the wind on the last 2 miles which was supposed to be where I had planned to gain time. Averaged 6.30s for 7 miles then hoped to improve however legs tired badly and so did the brain!!! Oh well. PB but only by seconds. RAF AC, Moray Roadrunners 1:00:06 1:06:03 1:05:00 1:06:03 67.23
