GettingThere A good well organised race, with motor bike outriders (most impressive). Managed to keep a good steady pace (thanks to following a fellow Harrier) till 7km then hd a burst of energy and finished stronger than I have ever done, so must be doing something right.

Lakes Another well organised race by A & F Flyers. Well done guys. My only criticism, and this is one not just based on this race, is that pre-start advice and the count down to the starting horn cannot be heard if one is more than about 15 yards from the start line. Still can't grumble too much as it was my 2nd pb over 10k this season. Bedford Harriers AC, Rushden Runners 51:11 51:11 53:02 53.93

onthedeck Official time, does not take into account the 20-30 seconds wait to get over the start line, so very please as appear to be getting quicker. Ran the first km too slowly and was trying to play catch up after that.

However a very nice course, a few hills but all in all a good event. Unaffiliated 51:18 52:44 52:51 51.75
Runner Martin Great race and the final run before London, nice event good medal, goodies over a reasonable course

The Shadow A fantastic course with a wee bit of a challenge, aided and abetted by superb organisation! Personally, I could have done better - a bad workperson blames their tools, I blame my shoes! Blessed with sharp pain on the anterior side of my knee, coupled with a new pair of shoes I can only think of making a schoolboy error in choosing the wrong shoes, regardless of gait analysis and 'professional' advice!
