Alun 4½ sleep was probably not the best preparation and my sore glute was a concern but it was what it was. Too cautious at the start again and consequently caught up in the crushes at the various first lap pinch points. Got into my rhythm when the conditions allowed it and ran strongly throughout. A real slog with long sections of leg sapping, deep cloying mud all around the course. Brutal, exhausting but also great fun, can't wait to do it again! Medway & Maidstone AC 57:31 67.05
