Mrs Jigs (Luverlylegs) NYE Ely 10k - decided to run as I felt, too fast at start but first off is downhill, good hard run, couldn't control my breathing at top of hill so had to step off course to calm it down, was never on to win my category as I could see my nemesis just ahead but couldn't push hard enough to catch her the gap gradually widened (finished 2nd in cat) , happy with my run though as I am not long over a bad cough/cold that caused me to stop training for 2 weeks, also had a bad stitch which I was trying to ignore for around 2 miles in 2nd half of the race. Flat Out Fi Much nicer weather than normal for todays race!! Calves were feeling rather tight, despite having rested them yesterday! I think a 10 mile race and a 10k race in 5 days is a bit much really!! Still I went into it feeling quite relaxed and felt I paced it well. Was really pleased to have come 1st FV35! I dont think Ive ever won a prize in that race! I got £10 cash and a £10 Sweatshop voucher so v happy with that!! :o) There were a lot of fast ladies there today!
