EarlyRiser Tail-end of cold and not wanting to be here. Started ok, but couldn't push pace mid-way. Struggled over the last 3k. Even so, new PB by 48 seconds, don't know where that came from. Unaffiliated 43:07 43:07 45:00 43:07 68.33

IBB,MBGOG Was looking dodgy for doing this, but back out this morning after ~2 weeks off with v painful heel. As long as it doesn't flare up this evening, pretty optimistic I'll make the start. Unaffiliated 58:49 59:00

DrBob not going to be fast this year, but I'll have a go and try to beat last year's time at least

Ran as expected, really hard work at times and there was a troubling voice in my head saying Cambridge & Coleridge AC 31:04 35:03 37:00 36:57 79.07

april_runner It would be nice to see a drop in my 10K time after the great improvements I have seen in my half time - I've been ill with a cold this past week but am recovering quickly and at least I have fresh legs. *update* Not quite as quick as I believe I am capable, but still a very good run. Feel over last week's cold but still coughed and spluttered a little - don't think this really affected my running though. Third lady and a sub-39 10K PB, woohoo! Girlie Think I just might consider racing this and attempting to go out of 2008 with another pb?
I'm mainly goign for the vibe and to have a few laffs going round, so a PB would be a lovely bonus:-)

***UPDATE*** A fab race and excellent result:-) a 31 sec PB, really enjoyed this race again and another PB bonus:-)
And my highest ever WAVA score:-) Lonely Goat RC 57:56 58:23 58:30 58:23 53.23

kiki.d Entered this in a bid to get a PB before the year is out! 25 seconds off a PB, oh well, felt pretty good for most of the course and don't think I could have pushed much harder. 40th female (39th last year), but faster time! Saffron Striders RC 47:19 47:55 48:00 47:55 65.77
Grumpy Galloper I was thinking coming up to November that getting at least close to 40 minutes was going to be possible. However what with work and having to travel a little bit more than usual and then some family commitments it never really happened. In fact a spate of Ghandi,s revenge over Christmas almost meant I never made the start line so the time I did get was quite pleasing. Saint Edmund Pacers 39:26 41:19 42:00 41:19 70.71

thorneygeoff Well done Jiffy - you deserved it. Regarding the race, 520 turning up out of 700 entries is very sad and shows that online early entry at this time of the year means that a quarter of people lost their money and also lots of people that would like to have run could have done so with a better system - this problem needs addressing! Marts haven't decided whether to try for a comfortable 37:30 or a mid 36 time. did 20M 3days before and will see what that's done to my legs. UPDATE Awesome. well chuffed especially 3 days after 20miler. 2nd fastest 10k ever and fastest for 14 and a half years. Felt really quite comfortable although obviously working hard. Great to catch up with No 8 and Lyra and also meet LOTL. Passed 2000miles for year on warm down with swerver, don ron,wj bullet, mrs c and mandypants Werrington Joggers 35:44 36:22 37:29 36:22 73.02
