Llamadance This turned out to be a really good race for me. I had a suspicion I could run a PB but wasn't sure. The aim was to run 7:30 min miles, but the first mile was 7:10 - tried to slow down a bit and mostly averaged 7:30 for the rest of the race. The stickiest point came at 9 miles. I ran that mile in 7:17 and really felt it soon after. Legs got very heavy and actually felt a bit strange. Eased off a bit for my slowest mile of the race 7:47 and felt a lot better.

The twelfth mile was very hard too as it was into a headwind, but thankfully - unlike last year - there was no horizontal rain. Was feeling very tired but managed to have a go for the last 1.1 miles and picked off a few people ahead of me. Knackered at the end.

Great to meet another Fetchie, AlanF as well. Unaffiliated 1:30:11 1:37:47 1:37:47 59.82
The Belly Is Gaun Tae Get Ye Just failed to beat perdicted time. Set off well, maybe too well, then kept to target pace, Kept it up but lost it from 10M to finish. Nothing left in legs which is a bit disappointing. However a seasons best and he record looks a bit better. Worth the long drive to and fro . Nice to meet other Fetchies.

size10 Was going well up until the last three miles, found the headwind tough going, didn't think I felt any benefit of it on the way out. Pretty pleased that I've beaten my previous. Was quietly hoping for a 1.40 but now realise what I have to work on to target that, ie stronger legs. Also pleased that no aches or pains through the run. To be honest I found the course a bit dull, however the event was superbly organised and the journey up was lovely. Glencoe was amazing looking. Unaffiliated 1:43:11 1:44:46 1:44:46 56.35
