a.k.a Billy Entered on 14/11 No firm plans as yet whether to 'race' it or not yet but pleased this race is confirmed. 11/02 This will be a get round in one piece effort for me. Not nearly enough miles on the clock recently and confidence low at the moment. Still hope to go sub 4 though. Dunstable RRC 3:29:33 3:42:15 3:59:59
eL Bee! Change of plan - 3:20 will do me - not trained enough to race this hard!
Update
OOPS! I appear to have run a new PB! :) Cumberland AC 2:59:43 2:59:43 3:20:00 3:09:04 67.36
Impossible is Nothing Decided to go for sub-3 or bust and was lying in second place feeling comfortable right up until mile 16. Then the lack of training kicked in and my legs quit. Nearly totally quitted at 21 miles but decided to do the fifth lap in a stagger to chalk up another marathon. A bit disappointed not to have made a better hash of it (and if I had been in better shape might even have won...!) but not completely surprised. It was windy but mostly quite sheltered. Despite the laps enjoyed the race - a cosy one with good encouragement from a variety of Fetchies. Result 13th I think. Westbury Harriers 3:07:43 3:23:32 3:23:32 60.82
BlueWombat Close to a sub 3:30, but rumbling bowels (which Maverick Prowles would be proud of) from 18 miles onwards put paid to that. A toilet break at 20 miles put things right, but also put them back, and I lost concentration. In the last four miles I realised that it might be possible to redeem myself, but only really managed to get some acceleration beyond mile 25 with the flat track and wind behind me, by which stage it was too late. Turbo doesnt count Being a lapped course by rights pacing should be straightforward, I'll try not to disprove that. Fine pacing til my calves disagreed with me at mile 23. Second fastest mara so happy Aldridge RC 3:32:50 3:38:45 3:45:00 3:38:45 59.19

Runs4beer Lack of miles recently meant I wasn't hoping for anything special today. I was pleased with my even pacing miles 7 to 23, so that was something to take away from today. Amazing Fetchie turnout today! Unaffiliated 3:17:17 3:50:34 3:50:34 52.72

sparky76 Had a great race in great company with the dunstable road runner club buddies! Brilliant marshalling & friendly faces all around the course. Definitely reccomend this race.
Felt pain & tiredness really started coming in at 22 miles but really happy with time & chuffed with the result. :-) Dunstable Lions RC 2:57:48 3:55:23 3:55:29 51.63

Objective 2: Sub-4.
*UPDATE*
Friendly, well-organised and well-supported as always, with lots of Fetchies in attendance. This is such a good event! I went along intending to be bored out of my head, suffer discomfort, and generally hate it, but not DNF. Mission accomplished, helped by the biting wind and my poor clothing decisions! I had to let go of any thoughts of sub-4 before halfway. This is a wonderful race. I will not be running it again :o) Cumberland AC 3:36:39 3:36:39 3:56:00 4:12:41 55.91
