Sunbed Athlete Was looking to be under 32 mins even with a sore ankle but got sucked in @ started & that scuppered my sub 32 chances. However took a few scalps but dinny think it will make a difference to overall Grand Prix standings as there was a very good field where guys would take points for the GP but not make an impact in standings, howeverafter a quick calculation it made me move to 5th in the final standings.Best ever position.WELL CHUFFED.Some more spondoolies to spend on my boys.....;-)
UPDATE...got final GP standings & im 7th for the season.Thought my calculations were good bot obv not.Still a good showing over the season. Cambuslang Harriers, Scottish Veteran Harriers Club 31:29 32:05 32:05 84.79
Scobos Get in!!! Have run quicker on a downhill course, but this is a 'proper' PB!!! Perfect conditions and a quality field. Shettleston Harriers 33:08 33:47 33:47 80.52

bedlam_g Thought i'd maybe sneaked a 1 second PB then discovered my Strathaven time was actually 35.17 ouch. Went out hard, felt strong, then as ever found myself running the 2nd half on my own and let the pace slip a bit without anyone to hang on to. Still moving in the right direction after my 36 something in Paisley and a 5k split of 17.27 (2 seconds slower than my PB and about 15 seconds quicker than my recent Bella 5k time) almost in shape to smash 35, good race fast course, definitely do it again.

hannkies A bit- though not majorly - dissapointed with my race if I'm honest. Do think there were fast times to be had today, but have been tired all week and worked out this was my 5th quickest 10K to date so in hindsight it was probably okay, especially as it was a course pb. Going on a much needed holiday this week and been warned by Coach Jim to ease back a bit so should hopefully come back refreshed and ready for the Winter. Outstanding time by Scobos today, so well done to him and to everyone who competed and very good to meet HBNS. Top, top organised race by Central AC and a good goody bag as well. RichyC Pb for 3rd year on the trot, I like that run! Great weather today too. Went out hard, too hard to be honest but hung in there and pb was by just over half a minute. 48th of 839. Bloody strong field! Unaffiliated 35:48 35:48 35:48 73.74

HappyTimes Nice new PB achieved today and pretty much bang on prediction. This and last weeks 5k at Kelso has boosted confidence after recent lows. Next BIG target of becoming a sub 40min 10k runner is now achievable and not some impossible dream. Pelvis was bit niggly thro most of race and although not major I feel prob made some impact on time as I was Unaffiliated 36:38 41:55 41:59 41:55 63.82
_andy Happy with that - shiny new PB! And quite accuarate on that predicted time in the end. Clock time was 2s quicker than result gun time - anyone else get that? Hats of to HappyG who was going brilliantly at the end and stormed to a superb PB. Kinross Road Runners 37:17 39:00 39:00 39:00 69.31
HappyG(rrr) Last sharpener before marathon attempt. Phew. *Update* Well that was unexpected! Decided to push on a bit (like Boab told me) and it just felt comfortable the whole way (mostly!). Really pleased. Great fetch and club PBs today too. Well done everyone! :-)G Harmeny AC, Kinross Road Runners 37:17 38:14 45:00 38:14 71.66

Lexo Great race this. Just doesnt feel like its a 10K for some reason. On paper out and ins through suburban settings shouldnt really be this pleasant but its such a nice run and so well organsied the organisers make it look easy!!. Was thinking I was going to break the 39 mins at one point but ran out of puff in the last KMs but still very happy with my new PB. Nice to get one in this late in the year!!! good runs from many peeps today particularly Happy G(rrr) who was storming through the field when i saw him ,and RichyC who is on good form jsut now as well. Ellem and Bob as usual were there to cheereveryone on.hope they didnt get any pics of me wearing my big girly calf guards though :) Musselburgh & District Athletic Club 38:57 39:33 39:40 39:33 69.27

Knacked Matt The clock at the end said 40:39. The chip said 39:45. I was the last person to cross the line at the start, inspired by my 'from the back' strategy at Glasgow. It worked - sub-40 achieved at last! Linlithgow AAC 39:45 39:45 39:45 69.46

thechunkygentleman Delighted :) A whole minute quicker than my most positive predicition and a good deal better than my last week of training had suggested. Had really felt like i still had the half marathon in my legs and despite a good 5k the week before i wasnt sure i could hold on. Usual dumbass strategy of battering out the first half quickly and then grimly holding on for the rest. First 5k was a PB time. Second half of the race hurt like hell and i slowed but not too much. Great course, good support, well organised :) Unaffiliated 41:29 45:36 45:36 58.66

Ferdi really enjoyed this, my third 10k and much faster than I expected, due to the great weather and flat course. Heavy going at the end, but delighted with my time. Thought the race organisation was superb and local Stirling folk generous in their clapping! Unaffiliated 48:27 51:28 55:00 51:28 57.73

Debstir Opted for this rather than the Kilmacolm Half. Knocked my pan in for 6+ miles, was convinced that I had sub-50'd so a bit disappointed to find I hadn't. Still, 51:07 is still pretty good for me.... Unaffiliated 48:30 51:03 51:07 59.21
