Gobi WOW, 3rd senior man and 4th overall in a time inside my Yateley PB from last year. Probably the toughest 10k course I have run while trying to go fast Roundhay down at Pewsey may be a slightly tougher course but only maybe.

I went off with the leaders not really bothered about racing and at 3kms found myself in 4th place so concluded that I was racing. I had the leaders in site for the whole race but did not have enough in my legs to get back at them. Stayed with the lad in 3rd until about 5kms but had a poor Km 5-6 before regrouping and running the last 4kms inside my 5km PB pace including 3.16 for the last one. Rach E This is a multi-terrain 10k where people seem to run c. 2 mins slower than their 10k road pb hence time prediction. ***UPDATE*** Very pleased with run on tired legs and still a little anaemic. This is no doubt a tough race - about 75% off road and very hilly. It was also a hot day but this didn't seem to bother me too much today. Pleased to finish 3rd lady and 1st senior lady in a competitive field. I ran the first 5k in 19:56 and the second 5k in 19:28. I'm not sure if this is down to good pacing or poor km markers. Very well organised race though and came back with boxes and boxes of honey as prizes!!! Garmin measured distance as 10.33km BUT this is a trail run and distance isn't too important. I did suffer again from bad pains on my right abdomen (womens' issues) which I need to get sorted out and is a bit worrying tbh. Very well done to Felixs again :-) Aldershot, Farnham & District AC, Team Kennet, Newbury Velo 36:58 37:55 40:00 39:24 75.49

runningbean Felt awful from about 1km onwards. Battled on to a pretty disappointing time, still glad I did it though, I think I'll start more slowly next time. Unaffiliated 47:28 52:31 52:31 50.27
garfieldhouse Pleased as it was a lot faster than my time in the Woodley 10k- the extra training helped. Still need one under 50 minutes though! Southwest Roadrunners 44:38 50:50 52:41 50.11
Miss Minx Not very fit, and don't know what to expect from an undulating trail race. I might be even slower than this, though I would *hope* not
*Update* - It was hot and hilly, but very very enjoyable. I loved it! I know I can run 10k quicker (not by much though), but it didn't matter. It was just so lovely to be in the countryside and not breathing lung fulls of traffic fumes. I'd love to do this again. Unaffiliated 54:33 1:09:24 1:06:00 1:09:24 42.86
