Grey Badger 20 mile fell run from Wooler up onto The Cheviot and Hedgehope hills then back. Race consists of 3 classes. 1 - for walkers only starting 0930am. 2 - for slower runners starting 1030am 3 - for swifter runners starting 1100am Terrible day been ill with tummy bug after hol to Turkey and got it again in early hours of morning. Thought i was over it but it returned 1hr before race. Went ok up onto The Cheviot and back down but felt terrible from the top of Hedgehope to finish. Was sick and got terrible cramps in my legs for the last 8 miles. So a time that could have been 3hrs 20min turned into 3hrs 56min. i suppose it was foolish of me to run at all but had been looking forward to this event for ages. Theres always next year.
