My poor knees... The time from the race organisers says 50 mins, but my watch said the above time, and as that is better, I will be listing that!!

;-)
Am happy with the time, but am in a lot of pain (knee is very sore), so will take it easy for the week now.

:-(

Really good turn out, and was much tougher than I expected.

Well done to the organisers today. Unaffiliated 49:47 49:47 51:00 49:47 53.34

toffee First race for over twenty years since I was a kid. New shoes have caused my feet to blister quite badly so will need to get them sorted. Looking forward to it.

Felt OK all the way around and eased off a tiny bit at 3 miles to make sure I finished OK seeing as it was was my first 10K for yonks. Well marshaled and good atmosphere. Unaffiliated 41:28 41:28 52:00 47:25 56.69
ozzie2920 As usual well organised run. Time was way better than I predicted , just checked the official results and it's 59 min 21 sec .
Went off to quick struggled in the last 2k , need to learn from this for next time . Unaffiliated 56:53 56:53 1:03:00 59:21 48.03

Doctor K Modest time predicted as on road back from injury -and the way it is going my time for this will be a complete joke.
Hard work today after the time off. Ran the first half far too quickly and paid for it big time in the second. I like this race though. Saw fello fetch Ozzie at the end Bolton United Harriers & AC 49:08 49:08 55:00 56:47 51.88

Swimming Is Easier woo hoo!!! I never in a million years thought I could do a 10k this fast!! I was really hoping for under 56 mins, which I did in 2005 on a really flat course when I was really fit..... so 51:26 is AMAZING!!! The hard work is paying off!! I did the first mile in 7:30 (which beats my Manchester Fetch Mile Challenge) I realised this was a bit ambitious so leveled the pace out. At 3 miles I was 23:30 .... my PB for 5k is 25:24 so well ahead of that. There was a bit more uphill at the backend of the race. At 5 miles I was getting a bit tired, but still managed to keep the pace up.
Friendly race, marshalls great. Really liked the route. Manchester Tri 49:42 51:26 56:00 51:26 57.79
Marcus 41st Birthday race: not expecting a PB here! ...and obviously I was well off 38 min pace! Still, this ain't a particularly fast course and it was still a very enjoyable race, along with Brian Porter's comedy announcements at the start.
