april_runner This is the first time I have done this race, and I enjoyed it - although I am not one for short, fast races! I was chosen as first runner (team captain wanted last place for himself - but I went on to beat his lap time, ha ha) and it was a congested start...a couple of people fell over and I saw a baton fall to the ground and someone scrabble after it. The race was through the scenic location of the Cambridge Backs, but I don't really remember seeing much of it! My lap time was the fastest of my colleagues (it was a work team), but I felt slightly frustrated by the whole experience - not much team spirit and I'm not suited to the distance. I only felt like I had warmed up when I reached the finish! I guess I can see this as some speedwork! Cambridge & Coleridge AC 9:54 12:06 14:00 12:06 63.73
