The Plod This is a flat Half, an interesting course and I hear not all on roads due to some road works on the Bay barrage. Apparently the course now goes throught the docks a bit and some of the route is on track.

Any way, the weather forecast is not too bad a taken with a flat course, I'm look for about 1:27. San Domenico RC 1:24:34 1:24:34 1:27:00 1:26:14 71.61
Bear Foot Pretty accurate prediction then. Not a bad race and happy with the result. Finished 73rd / around 6000. Went off at PB pace (6:10) which was a little optimistic. Kept it going till around 7 miles then started to fade a little. Very fast course though, perfectly flat. Maybe a couple of pounds overweight from not reducing food and beer intake during taper but I wasn't coming close to 1.20 anyway. Rush around getting there - had to go back as Adrian had forgotten his number and ended up feeling car sick before race after speedy drive in. Che dragon I'm looking forward to this, despite the twiddly route. Have met all the targets I set for this year so running this one for fun.
Sorry about the credits. Actually felt quite nervous the last couple of days and fighting a cold. Set of too quick and didn't have it in me to carry that pace. Disappointed I didn't pb (though 10 minutes quicker than last year). Penarth & Dinas Runners 1:33:42 1:35:18 1:35:00 1:35:40 69.12

daz1927 Got to do it this time, after last years fecking disaster!
Met Contro right at start, and planned to stick with sub-1:30 pacer. Very quickly I felt good, so decided to run my own race. Glad I did my own thing, a significant PB, although I know I can go faster. :-) Village Vipers 1:26:29 1:28:00 1:29:59 1:28:00 68.46

M62 Santa Wondering weather to use this as my first sub 90 minute half or just as a warm up for Marathon Eryri (Snowdonia Marathon)...

A sub 1h30m is a big ask...

Comments post race - Cardiff Half - first sub 90 minute half marathon. delirous with the time - slowed down at the end to save legs for Snowdonia. Much better organisation than last year - still need to avoid grassgcrete & make mile markers bigger. Minor complaints about a special race. Thanks jean summerhayes & all & Barnados Cymru.
Thanks for betting - I feel exploited!

Cormorant A good event this. Handsome and spacious start area, although things were a bit chaotic after the finish as we were sent behind the barriers and into spectators to remove chips. Set off too fast and had a wobble at halfway. We seemed to spend lots of the second half of the race lapping the park and I could have done with more water stations but hey, this is the quickest I've run a half marathon for two and a half years, so I'm well pleased. Sime Tried to go for 1.30 but it was a big mistake, ran with sub 1.30 pace group until about 6 miles but then struggled to hold onto the pace, struggled in the 2nd half of the race. gray With large chunks of this race off the main roads and almost completely flat, with pleasant paths through Sofia Gardens, along the Taff and past the Millenium Stadium, this is a run well worth doing. Banksy Decided to run faster than the 2 hour pacemaker. Took a drink at the last station to find him overtaking me. Just didnt have the legs to catch him. Oh well. This was my first attempt at a half. A lttle congested at times and not keen on the gravel or cobbles. However, I feel that I will be entering it again next year. Well done, Cardiff!
