Team Win Did utter crap on the fells. It was far steeper than expected and I was wearing the wrong type of footwear. As for the ascent I ended up walking a lot of the steeper bits and was in a terrible position at the summit. Then on the decline struggled with the footing resulting in huge blisters on my heels, at one point thought I was going to fall and break my neck as I couldnt slow down due to lack of grip. Felt refreshed when back on the flatter parts of the course but wasnt able to make many places as blisters meant I was running on tip-toes. Did manage a bit of a sprint. Good experience but wont be doing another fell race in a hurry until I have some fell running shoes! Shrewsbury AC 31:12 31:12 31:00 31:12 46.66
