Plussing As Which Watch time. Inspite of the dreadful weather I'm slightly disappointed with my run and apologies to betters. Felt good and raced well but the time just slipped away! Funny how that happens. I think that I'm well and truly in 'marathon mode' now and the sort of speed needed to PB is in temporary retirement. Shouldn't complain though - came 1st lady and 12th overall. Unaffiliated 38:14 38:14 38:00 38:46 77.77
Fan E Baws Although the weather was horrible, heavy downpour all afternoon. I ran one of my best races ever finishing in third place overall and recording a personal best. Springburn Harriers 35:56 35:56 35:56 73.47
Baza If this is as flat as folk say then I hope i can run 39m, legs feel fine after Fridays 5K. Late decision to run as the 'Mrs' is working then going out anyway. *Update* Last minute decision, but in the end I made the trip over to Bute for the 10K which is part of their Highland Games. The weather on the West coast was rain, and more rain. Warm up consisted of looking out the changing room door!! Trainers were soaked just walking through the field to the start where we had to hang around for another couple of minutes for our briefing. 1st K was fast a downhill before I got into a rhythm, Kept PAW in my sights before she started pulling away. Enigma was just behind me at the turn and I expected him to be breathing down my neck anytime. Fortunately after turning I was able to pick up some pace and picked of a youngster about 8.5K to put me into 19th place. Pushed uphill to the field and onto the track to finish in 39:52. 2nd. Best time this year – very pleased given the conditions. Didn’t hang around afterwards, just changed and straight back to the ferry so I could make all my train connections. This is one race I’ll be back to next year. Carnegie Harriers 36:28 36:54 39:00 39:52 66.25
Enigma Time is currently my watch time.
It was very wet, a touch on the cold side and pretty breezy. Not a good day.
I still didn't manage to break the magic 40 mins, but got closer to it, so there are points for the ever faithful fetch PB betters.
I felt pretty good, but bas just missing that extra bit of speed. Lots of 4min 5 sec kilometers so not far off. Unaffiliated 40:36 40:36 40:00 40:36 65.40
