amrjy a lovely day to run. A few hills in there but at least I didn't finish last! Stragglers 1:19:21 1:19:21 1:35:00 1:19:21 38.23

Heelandcoo Enjoyed the race. Weather was good for running. A few tough bits; the beach (at least the sand was wet so fairly compact) and some uphills. Felt I had run faster, so a bit disappointed with my time. The longer training runs made it feel a bit easier than my last 10k. Got interviewed for BBC Radio Newcastle too! Claremont Road Runners 42:33 48:28 48:34 62.46

jolguk Definitely don't bet on me! I was only just getting back into training properly after the marathon when I pulled my calf last week. So I haven't run over a week and am only allowed to do a couple of miles before Sunday. I'm really looking forward to it anyway.

Delighted with that - I was 22nd! I can't belive I did that on 8 miles training for the whole of June! The weather was perfect, but the inclines - much more than the sand - made it hard going. A great fun race, though. Dragons RC 42:55 43:25 46:20 45:13 67.25

Vicki: Graceless Whippet came 39th - really pleased with that, but my time (47:24) was way off my pb for 10k (44:22) but there's a couple of killer banks near the end and my garmin ran out of juice at 4k. After finishing I dashed back to South Shields to run in the Great North Dog Walk, and managed to break my 5k pb which I'm really chuffed with - 21:12 Jarrow & Hebburn AC 43:52 45:18 46:30 47:24 64.45
