Ticketyboo First race in 3 months, happy with the time although the course did appear a little short. Cumbernauld AAC, Scottish Veteran Harriers Club 33:50 37:24 39:33 66.97

jp105 Watch time. A good little race but the finish was a bit crazy. Pleased with my time. Carnegie Harriers 35:21 35:37 35:37 74.12
shannon this is a good wee race. didn't have a good run today, really dropped off the pace after 4k, still a long way off race pace from last year. and i missed the big sprint finish with a full turn 20m to go. Garscube Harriers 38:35 41:05 40:30 41:05 64.26
iceblue Disappointing race for me. Training was going so well recently and I was hopeful of a PB. I didn't think I started too fast but after 3k I knew it was going to be a long race. I started to feel unwell around 6k with a really sore pain in my side - stitch? I had to walk briefly until it eased. Once I got off the trail and onto the tarmac surface I felt great and surged on, until I hit the hill at the end. On the up side I did get a goody bag and there was no queuing by the time I finished! Really sorry to all those who bet on me. Actually quite pleased when I found out my time... so close to a PB after all! Cambuslang Harriers, Campbeltown Running Club 40:42 53:06 53:00 53:47 55.86
Big Al Widepants Started far too fast 4.09 (eh?) although it was downhill I think I just got sucked in. As usual. Gasped a bit but settled on about 4.40 pace which was what I needed. 5th K was a bit of a bummer as it involved a quagmire plus granite chips and a 180 degree turn. Felt a bit knckered after negotiating that. Dropped off again to about 4.55s although I wasn't feeling terrible. I just couldn't up the pace for some reason. Once I got back on the tarmac I felt much better and springier and I passed a few peeps who obviously didn't take it too well and closed up again as we climbed a tricky wee hill at the end. The finish was a bit of a farce what with a narrow entrance to the school and a complete turn 20 yards from the finish which was jammed with runners so you couldn't cross the line. All in all, I suppose it was a not bad first outing of the year. i'm miles ahead of last year (53.03 for the same race) and I reckon this training will eventually pay off. I think I need to do some strength work. Sorry to those that bet on me. Unaffiliated 43:35 44:54 45:00 46:59 59.71

Dave_K Still trying to run off christmas excess. Nice course and the weather was ok. Well marshalled. Disappointed in some of the organisation. Only found out on the day that there were no water stations and that only pre registered entrants got anything including water at the end. Felt a bit like being vetted coming through the finish...your'e registered...your'e not! Unaffiliated 45:32 47:43 52:40 52.43
Haggis Wow! Enjoyed the race, actually quite liked the trail section, although I know one or two others didn't.

A massive 2:18 off my previous PB! Felt relatively comfortable, although I knew I was working, and probably couldn't have gone any faster today.

Another fab (mad!) day out with Tigger! Good to meet Big Al, Debstir, and Phantom - hope you got home OK Spook...

Debstir Good race, although the finish was a bit of a mess. Turn round a cone, presume the finish is the inflatable gantry you're now running towards but told to slow down and stop before you get to it! Garmin measured 6.28 just before it so that'll do for me, I suppose.
Quite hard work on the uneven surface, saw a few peeps going over on their ankles and I got a niggle in my knee for the last kilometre or so before we got back on the road.

Supervixen Not been too well, lack of training, so only hope to be able to run this one completley. First time run so dont really know what to expect!!Update: good course, let down by the organisation. No water on the course and no goody bags or water at the end for those who registered on the day, for future refererance folks! Unaffiliated 53:41 53:41 58:00 1:03:22 48.20
