TheBeetroot As everyone else has already said, it was FAR TOO HOT!! so I'm pleased with a PB even if it wasn't quite what I was aiming for. Saw a couple of ambulances despatched with lights and sirens going - hope it was only minor heatstroke and the peeps they were for recovered quickly with cooling/rehydration (the water station and toilet situation was just as we have come to expect from the British 10K i.e. a bit of a nightmare, so I am not surprised that people needed first aid under these conditions). Lyds Heat was too much for me and coupled with a still sore ankle wasn't expecting to do well. Stopped caring at about 4k and just walked most of it with a few jogs in between so that I could just enjoy it rather than trying to get any kind of decent time. Cormorant Read a lot of negative publicity for this race - and it is expensive and perhaps too big (half an hour to filter through the start). Just as well it was no later in the day too, but there were plenty of drinks. And what a course - actually saw all those landmarks I don't remember noticing at the FLM.
