Slider45 Time by chip - standing in for a friend so didn't have the preparation I would have liked. However, can't complain and got a pb. Didn't quite have the strength in my legs to kicked on as I would have liked. Nice bag. Valley Striders AC 1:16:18 1:18:42 1:20:25 72.18

Ange11 I was really pleased with my time-new pb! Although I think I went too fast for the first 7 miles coz after that my quads felt really sore and it was astruggle to keep going. Going to try and get my pace right for the wilmslow half.

Bunny Phobia This was my first ever half marathon in 2004. Now, in 2009, it'll be my tenth :) I'll be having a small party all the way round. I've put 1.38, but I'd love to beat the pb. Will depend on christmas training, I suppose. And the hockey match I'm playin the day before.....
[post race] Very pleased with my time.Felt pretty comfortable all the way round, and think that with more tempo runs (which I introduced quite late into my training) I might be able to eek closer to 90 mins. Lovely race. Low Fell RC 1:30:18 1:33:09 1:38:00 1:33:26 69.01

Yorkshire Pie Cheque safely cashed! I've PBd here before, but this time I'll be on holiday for 2 weeks, flying in from Spain on Monday night, doing 4 days of work, getting very drunk on Friday night and then trying to survive on Sunday. We'll see... I think it's very unlikely to be a PB, but you never know! Unaffiliated 1:40:11 1:43:15 1:48:07 59.65

SODDING HILLS I finally got my finger out this year to go back under 2hrs at Bridlington in 1.47. Not done much training, too many races in last Q of 2008. Will see how it goes 1st half of race then kick-on. Anything around 1.50 would be great. Need to be back in Sheffield at pub for 1.30pm' ish, that is also motivating me for a good time. Rob Rubbish, rubbish, rubbish. My worst time for a long time. Not suprising really as I have hardly been out running lately and haven't run at all for 2 weeks. I didn't want to do this race as the day approached; on the morning I was still in bed at 08:15 thinking of excuses not to go. In hindsight I should have pulled the duvet over my head.

Oh well. I'll just put this one down to experience and consider it a training run. Ripon Runners 1:53:51 2:14:45 2:14:45 43.81

FRU (KeepTheFaith) PW - Ashamed of state of self weight wise and therefore time - positives: Negative head battles always good for mara practice, adopt Tortoise approach and only concentrate on own agenda (to run it all), self belief (as training hit and miss before the race due to flu), emotional baggage must be dropped before a race or at least within the first 4-5miles!!!!!
