TZ My shorts are safe... managed to sneak under 2h, and go 6min/mile the whole way. I can't say it was easy, but to do this at the end of a quality training week is something I am very proud of. SuperSooks 2:25 if you don't include my loo stop!! No offical finish time or place as I forgot to wear the chip, the officials said tough! (Thanks!) so what was the point in us wearing numbers then? I always thought that was a back up system. Got large painful blisters on the balls of both feet from about 7 miles, which I slowed me a bit in the second half. Apart from those three little hicups I am generally pleased as its my first 20 mile training run in FLM build up.. feels really good to have it in the bank now! I enjoyed the course, nice and rural and the marshalls were great too. Winchester & District AC 2:27:00 2:27:00 2:27:00 68.74

Peacey First race over 20, plan is to run this progressive finishing with the last quarter at my PMP for FLM.
Around 2.35 would be a ideal run at this stage of my FLM training.
*UPDATE*
Plan was to run first 10 around 8-8.15 & 2nd 10 around 7.15-7.30.
Predicted 2.35 so 2.33 which included a toilet stop on 9 miles is pleasing.

JPK Thanks to Ruth ;) I'm doing this 3 weeks after a marathon. Going to try and be sensible and do 8.5mm (very comfortable for me) and get a little pb on my way to my goal of pb'ing at every distance from 1m to 26m this year!
UPDATE: Paced Kew to 10 min pb and I got a 8 min pb myself! - great conditions and we stuck perfectly to the pace plan. Thats pb number 2 of my pb at every distance this year. Reading Joggers 2:48:12 2:48:12 2:49:59 2:48:12 54.69

Naomi P Pre Barcelona marathon 20 miler, will be a good test of fitness. 2 hours 50 would be 3'45 pace so will probably aim for 3 hours-ish and hope to finish strong. *UPDATE* This went really well, decided to take the first lap easy at 9 min miling and wind it up to the finish. Paced a very nice lady to her first sub 1'30 to the 10 mile mark and felt better in the second lap when I could finally stretch out a bit. Mile 19 was 8'30 and mile 20 8 minutes, love a good finish. Only quibble about this race was the advertised glucose drinks didn't show up and I was counting on them. Oh well, if I can do a negative split 20 miler on water alone that must mean my endurance is improving ;-) Unaffiliated 2:48:50 2:54:06 3:00:00 2:56:34 57.19

Jonny Wasn't feeling too good this morning with stomach cramps and the also feeling the effects of a bottle of wine last night. Took it slowly and just wanted to complete the run. Started off at 8.30 miles then slowed to 8.50 up to 15 miles. Ran/walked from there due to tiredness and cramping in my legs. Unaffiliated 2:31:54 3:04:28 3:04:28 49.56
