bw I've been meaning to run this one for 3 year but either did FLM and could not recover in time or was injured. So first race as a veteran and want to break 1:30. Training has been OK so hope are up. Reading Roadrunners 1:26:30 1:29:53 1:29:59
fetcheveryone Not hoping to do anything special here, due to a very patchy month of training, and a cold this week. This time last year though, I said the same things, and PB'ed by 5 minutes.

UPDATE: I am unlikely to race, so sorry if anyone's bet on me. I have a bit of a chest infection, and the rest of the family all have colds.

UPDATE2: I am feeling a fair bit better, so I'm expecting to at least turn up tomorrow.

UPDATE: I got round. Crap time, but I finished. Too wheezy. FERC 1:44:49 1:48:27 1:50:00 1:58:30 48.92
Forest Runner 2003 - 1:31:50; 2004 - 1:34:45; 2005 - 1:35:37; 2006 - It's going to be in the wrong direction again, but let's hope for 1:37:30. Actual time 1:37:50 and a PW for the 6 years I have run this course. Over two minutes slower than last year when I found it much easier, but still thought I had a bad race. Sounds negative, but I'm actually looking on the positive side. I expected to get 1:37:30 and I almost did and I'm moving back in the right direction. My legs were really strong and I could have done several more miles at the same pace after the finish, if I needed to. If I can just manage to run faster without struggling so much for breath, I think I will not be too long getting back to the times I used to get. Jonny Last hard run before the Prague Marathon next week. Pretty pleased with the way I ran, the course is fairly undulating with a few hairpin turns under the subways. An event that I always enjoy. Finished 38th. Unaffiliated 1:27:05 1:27:05 1:28:09 65.77

Sid I completed this race last year in 02hrs 23 mins. This year, I'll hopefully finish quicker but I doubt I'll beat my Reading 1/2 time of 01hr 54 mins! Update: Much better than last time and beat my Reading 1/2 by seconds!

Yellow Fang I think I started off a bit too quick. I felt good in the first four miles but gradually got more and more tired. I was struggling quite a lot from about nine miles on. I didn't suffer nearly so much as I did last time when I blew up at seven miles though. Even so, it was tough. I was therefore pleasantly surprised to finish in under 90 minutes. In fact, I think it's my second best time for a half. The course was nicer than I remembered. There is some running alongside busy roads and through underpasses, but there were also quite a few woody lanes as well. The long drags were hard.
