Boycie I am going for a PB here - apparently the course is v. flat - would like to beat 39 minutes - and beat it I did... Suffering from a cold but that did not stop the most stupid bout of opening mile running for a long time! 5:17 at mile 1 - 10:39 at mile 2 and 17:40 at 5k - paid for it on the way back which was more uphill than down but still a PB so cool! frizzle Supposedly a flat/undulating course!!! They obviously don't run in the fens!! He He! A small race through some lovely countryside. Some down hill bits as well as slogs to the top. The stalls in the village hall were a great added extra! It felt hard and I knew that I wouldn't be breaking any PBs on this course! Yaxley Runners and Joggers 49:33 53:11 53:11 55.88
Jigs My 1st 10k race so a little nervous and started at the back, a good turn out in the sunshine that stayed with us, although a little breezy in parts. Set my Virtual partner on the Garmin for 52 mins as per Macmillan website calculator, but needn't of bothered as I left his stickman ass well behind!!. Route wasn't traffic free but was well marshalled so no probs there, didn't know I could keep that pace up for the full distance, but did, even managed a sprint towards the end as I saw the entrance to the playing field carpark, only to find out I still had to do a lap of the field which was going Unaffiliated 35:40 45:04 52:00 47:37 56.77

long whatton speedster Bloody hard course, stupidly quick first mile! I blame that on Boycie, I didnt have a clue how to pace and figured he knew what he was doing. Unfortunatley I think he thought the same. So dumb and dumber run the first 3k faster than the track race on wednesday night! We were inside the course record at this point, the leaders furtive glances didnt deter us though as we pushed on into into oxygen debt oblivion. At 7k we passed a straggler from the fun run, who resembled a relative of mine who died many years ago. I assumed at this point I too was dead and was hoping that there was a drinks station just inside the pearly gates. Alas no, Boycie was still breathing down my neck, the guy in front that I had closed on for 3 miles turned out to be a rambler and the finish line was after a lap of a soggy field. Apart from that a pb!!!! Hermitage Harriers RC 38:08 38:08 40:00 38:12 69.74
