Impossible is Nothing Good race - paced it well, although thought I was going faster than I was, so not quite a PB. Weather spot on, course fine and with no speed work this is a nice confidence boost ahead of the summer. Caffeinated PowerGel at 30 mins had a nice effect. dj_dave Reasonable run as it was just for training purposes. To fast to start with but not as fast I would have liked in the last third. First third 7 min per mile, second 6.40 and then only picked it up to 6.32. Unaffiliated 1:29:31 1:30:19 1:30:19 68.37

QubixTech Having done lots of training for my first half marathon I was in tip top condition for this, really enjoyed it and was very pleased with the time, just gotta train harder to go under 1hr 30! Course is nice and flat and is definitely a PB potential course. Unaffiliated 1:31:38 1:31:38 1:31:38 63.27

Hendo Provisional watch time (13.25 miles??!).

I like this race. There are many 'larger' races that have very quiet parts, but the crowds here are, in the most part, quite uplifting. This is of course due to the two laps that you do, but even so, it makes for a good run.

Anyway, the plan was to pace Jennie to two hours and we were bang on 9 minute miles right up to 10 miles but then she began to struggle a bit so dropped off the pace. Despite missing the target by a minute, she still PB'd by a massive TWENTY minutes so this was a job very well done indeed :)

Bumped into Dazza (again!!) at the start, and L4 on the first lap - hope it went well for the two of you.

Badger Don't bet on me, I'm just running this while prepping for the Paris marathon and there is no way I'll be running a PB.

Run it pretty much to target then. Good day out, feeling more secure about finishing Paris now. Met Dazzer at the incredibly crowded start. Lost 3 minutes messing around swopping number from long-sleeved top to t-shirt about 4 miles - it was very cold before the start but really didn't need the top on the way round. FunkyPOM Training has been going fairly well with a X-Country once a month since Bristol. Next (and last before Bath) will be Weston Tough Ten (10 miles multi terrain), should give a good indication of Bath time. Not now doing Terminator 10 due to clash with house move so I'll have to step up the training after the tough 10.......

Post Tough 10 - Did this in 1hr27 and there was a couple of hills that I walked up! So, I'm now hoping to finish the Bath HM well under 2hrs, 1hr 50 would be best I could hope for but think 1hr 55 is more realistic.

2 weeks to go. Training not really going to plan what with doing my house up and Uni work. It was a whole week since last run but went well on Sunday so I'm still hoping to beat the 2hrs.....

1 week to go. Pulled something in my ribcage on my Saturday run. Been hard to move since but hopefully be cleared up by Bath. Just need rest and more rest....

THE RACE DAY - Well, dosed myself up with ibuprofen, picked up a pace band for 1hr55 and joined the queue for the start quite near the back. Took 5 mins to cross the start line then a fairly slow first mile. The race was perfect with no pain and I managed the whole race without stopping. With 4 miles to go I thought 1hr 50 may be on so pushed myself a bit but just missed out. Really happy with the result though as it takes 10 mins off my PB!! Sub 1hr50 for Cardiff....... Lizzybagwash I got an ankle injury in the January, so my main aim was to complete the race
In training I only managed to build up to run 7.5miles so doing the Half was an achievement in it’s self to then get a good time I was flying home
