Middler Just managed to get in under the 50min barrier - and really only just. Ecstatic - my best ever time and without proper training over the Christmas period. Beautiful day for running, good course, chuffed all round. Unaffiliated 49:59 49:59 49:59 61.29

Rich963 Very pleased with that - PB by 90 seconds (original was set on the same course last year). Shows all this hard training has paid off and was perfect conditions - cold, bright and not too windy.
Sat in with a clubmate for the first 3 miles (I'm sure that first mile is still short, but the second two make up for it). At 3 miles decided to just go for it and see how long I could hang on. Suffered over the last mile, but just had enough to keep overtaking people to the end. 6th for the club, 87th overall.
Splits were: 6.09 6.24 6.40 6.13 6.17 6.32 Stilton Striders RC 38:15 38:15 38:15 66.56
Vi Ninety Day Challenge The new slimmer beast has arrived.PB with hardly any training due to ankle injury. Before today had not run further than 4 miles since the end of october. Burton AC 58:38 1:03:19 1:03:19 40.59
Firestarter Yes, Yes and Yes again!!! Never thought I'd get a 40 min 6miler in the bag, but today it was comfortable, I reckon had it not been for the last hill I could have gone under the 40 barrier, next time eh! Big field and a pleasant day for a race, cool and crisp to begin, with a bit of a head-wind in places but overall decent conditions for a race. Bring on Ashby 5! Firestarter is now Hermitage Harriers RC 37:15 40:43 40:43 67.03
SteveC Good condtions, nice mildly undulating course (bar the last climb!). Had a calf twinge at mid-way (19:30), shortened my stride pattern and seemed to avoid a full blown tear (sore now though!). Very pleased with this start to the season. Unaffiliated 39:06 39:06 39:40 65.38

Scouse Bird I put this down as 206, that was impossible as my ikle girl was only 2 and a half months old! Would have been great though!!!!!!! Fleckney and Kibworth Running Club 54:38 55:03 55:03 52.11
Boycie Reckon I can knock another 40s or so off my Boxing Day time - will be better prepared - i.e. not hungover! Also will be in a race situation and run the otherway round, which is by all accounts the quicker route! Definitely worth a few credits... UPDATE: Suffering with knee problem - resting up for two days - hopefully be okay... RACE UPDATE: Managed a PB by 13 seconds - not as quick as hoping, but good in circumstances of having had knee problems and the like. The breeze made it hard in places, but overall a good race. 5:47, 6:13, 6:07, 6:09, 6:23, 6:29 splits... Unaffiliated 34:19 35:40 36:40 37:06 68.63
ThorntonRunner Hope to knock a minute off my Boxing Day time, but a little worried about a slightly sore throat - hope it's not going to develop into anything.
UPDATE: Sore throat developed into hacking cough. Spent much of Saturday night watching cricket on Sky rather than keeping wife awake with the cough. Got to sleep about 4:30. In the circumstances satisfied if not happy with 40:40. Gradually ran out of steam: splits - 6:27, 6:40, 6:51, 6:38, 6:57, 7:04. Unaffiliated 39:34 39:34 40:00 40:40 68.21
