johntz Well, that was one race that exceeded my expectations! Perfect weather (considering the storms the day before), small number of entries kept this nice and friendly, with loads of encouragement from the marshals. Pretty village location, with lovely cakes and drinks served at the end at the village hall; Great course with LOADS of mud, some of which I became personally acquainted with during a lapse of concentration at the back end of the race ;-) Ran a couple of miles with a chap that smashed through every puddle on the way. Decided this was a great idea, and finished with clean(ish) trainers and a broad grin on my face. Thankful for the downhill last mile. Can't recommend this highly enough, will definitely return...
