paskha Cornish GP race No.4 - This is a multi-terrain event that starts in Helston town with a fast first mile downhill, then goes meandering on rough track through the lovely Penrose estate, across Loe Bar (beach & dunes) and up along the coastal path, coming back on tarmac roads for the last 4 miles. I know of at least 4 people who fell over on the rough track this year - it happened to me on a training run last year - so I was very cautious on the first part. Ideal for me really, cos I was nicely warmed up and able to run fast for the last 4 miles, once we were back on the roads. Fastest previous time on this course 1:37, last year was 1:39, so very pleased with 1:32! Mounts Bay Harriers 1:26:24 1:32:00 1:35:00 1:32:30 64.53

Yog-Sothoth A tough multi-terrain race that I wasn't expecting to do particularly well in. I overcooked the first mile or two, running sub 6 minute pace for both - when will I learn! Thereafter, I slowed down enough to avoid a serious mischief. The weather was spot-on, and made the hilly slog out of Loe Bar a pleasure. The race was a little over 10 miles, and I came in a little under my 10 mile PB, so I can't be too disappointed. Unaffiliated 1:04:29 1:07:41 1:10:00 1:07:41 68.08
