Coxy Apple My second marathon and second attempt at sub-4 hours. Update - 24th Sep. Thanks to everyone placing bets - under more pressure now! Got a 5k PB on Saturday so on track. Last proper session today 25th Sep - 6 x 2 min intervals. Not long now! NEWSFLASH Hurray I did it! Went v. well. Was hot but paced sensibly and managed 8.08 for mile 24 and 7.54 for mile 25! Foxy Finally I made it to Budapest, i was booked to go in 2006 but due the postponement of the race due to political unrest i instead went to amsterdam which ironicallly turned out to be the same day as the re aranged Budapest run. The organisers very kindly offered to transfer my entry to the following year & allow a friend (Dave Ross) free entry too. we decided to take in the pasta party & the pasta served up was the kind of meal Oliver would expect !!! but it came with a beer :) Sweet Pasta - Yuk !! The race started near the very impressive Heroes square & headed out down to the river & across the famed iron bridge - essentially it was in essence a 100 Marathon Club, MK Lakeside Runners, Milton Keynes Lakeside Runners 3:09:27 3:26:47 3:59:59 3:48:47 53.29
