The Lexicon Bracknell Half Marathon

This popular local race returns to the streets of Bracknell in May 2024 and will be celebrating its 40th Birthday! Sponsored by The Lexicon, the renowned half marathon course will take runners through the heart of Bracknell. Much of the route will be on roads, footpaths and cycleways, however there will be a short section of grass running for participants to contend with.

Race Instructions

Please familiarise yourself with our race instructions prior to the Half Marathon:

Venue

The race village will be in Bond Square, Bond Way, The Lexicon, Bracknell, RG12 1RQ (adjacent to Waitrose). The village will contain the information desk and the baggage drop off / collection point. The start will be adjacent to the race village. The finish will be in Union Square (at the crossroads of The High Street and Braccan Walk, The Lexicon, Bracknell). Parking

All race entrants will be entitled to free parking in Braccan Walk car park, The Ring, Bracknell, RG12 1DR. Please show proof of entry on arrival between 07:00-08:30 at the car park entrance. There will be no time limit for your stay so please feel free to avail yourselves of all the facilities within The Lexicon after your run. The Braccan Walk car park is a short walk (approx. 200m) away from the race finish area.  IF YOU USE ANY OTHER TOWN CENTRE CAR PARK YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING THE RELEVANT FEE.

Public Transport

Bracknell railway station and bus depot are both short (300m) walks away from the start area.

Toilets

Toilets are located on the ground floor of the Avenue car park, The Avenue, The Lexicon, RG12 1AP. These are a short (100m) walk from the race village area.

Course

The race will start and finish in The Lexicon. The runners will leave and re-enter the town centre via London Road. On the way out the runners will pick up an anti-clockwise loop of Bracknell at the Running Horse Roundabout. On reaching the Running Horse Roundabout for the second time, the runners will return to the town centre the same way that they came out before finishing in the heart of The Lexicon. Entries

The only way to enter is via the event’s own online booking system. Entry Fees are non-refundable.

Wheelchairs; Buggies/prams; dogs;

Due to the nature of the course, the organisers regret that wheelchair entries, runners pushing buggies/prams and dogs on leads are not accepted for this event.

Medals

All participants completing the course will receive a sustainable commemorative medal.

The Lexicon

Runners, their families and other supporters are welcome to take the opportunity to check out the many shops, cafes, restaurants and other facilities within the town centre.

General Terms & Conditions

All participants must have reached their 17th birthday on or before the day of the race.

Entry fees are non refundable except in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the Organisers.

Runners unable to take part on the day MUST NOT pass their numbers to someone else.
