    cabletow: peroneal muscles - Do you wear stability shoes? or extensor digitorum - Do you get toe nail issues and holes in thetops of your old shoes?

    Wine Legs: Yes to stability shoes (Asics 2150, or Brooks Adrenaline) and orthotics too... no to the toenail-through-the-shoe thing...

    cabletow: then peroneal muscle strain is likely - your shoes are throwing your feet out as you roll from heel to toe and the muscle uis resisting that. - Get a gait analysis and a more nuetral shoe and learn to relax your lower legs as you run - see Chi running
