Though to be honest, the only Valentines day cards I've seen are the ones processed at work. RS have you seen the new Banksy in Bristol yet?

We have two such meets now, where we cycle, put the world to rights and have lunch. Plan is for me to go to his this Sunday. First time neutral, last weekend at mine, so it makes sense... However, the weather looks a tad wild! This has so far not stopped us before. In fact we were lucky dodging the worst of flooding and storms so far. However, I am going to suggest a plan B if things are really bad on Sunday, which they look likely to be: A walk along the Wye in Hay, followed by lunch and a mooch around the book shops. Hay is inbetween the two of us, roughly halfway, and even with flooding which is likely, we should be able to get there... He is interesting in as he seems to approach this friendship in the same way as me, which leaves me moderately positive yet without expectations Oh and I don't do Valentines Day. However, my favourite tool shop: Niwaki, has a 14% Valentines discount all week so I ordered my two pruning saws some new blades. They are very happy this morning, clean and shiny!

He, like me, had given up on relationships and said last week that, if he enters another it will be his ''forever one'' so he wants to make sure it is right. I am of the same persuasion, so happy to just continue without expectation and see where things go. He is totally not my ''type'' physically if there is such a thing...

There are flood alerts out for both Built and Longtown, so we have deemed it sensible to not travel anywhere tomorrow to meet. We probably can't anyway, even willingly... The new plan is to go hiking in Snowdonia next weekend in stead. Leave Friday after work, and come back Sunday evening. Youth hostel. Let's hope the weather improves!
