I don’t know how some people can continue with that sort of relationship and think it’s normal. Although I do know that bad behaviours creep in gradually and it can be difficult sometimes to see the truth of it.

Does sound like a nasty situation RS, and can't the best advert for being in a relationship, I guess.
I'm sure once you move somewhere better, you will feel ok.

Are you in your own place now RS? You've had a lot of moves lately. It must be quite wearing. I find it quite fascinating to consider the psychology of people who choose to stay in a relationship that causes so much angst and frustration.

Yesterday was payday. I want to get a new album to celebrate. I'm thinking Ex:Re. Quite like Sharon van Etten too.

Hmmm, usually there's an album I can name that I'd like but not today. Have fun choosing.

With my friends it's not just the angst and frustration. They don't discuss things which are important and affect their welfare. I had to gently persuade them to get

their boiler serviced, which they booked in. One of the couple has had a major operation and can't do as much physical work as previously and the other doesn't want to take up the slack. The cleaning has reached crisis point and hygiene around food storage and cooking is frighteningly bad! How do you approach these things without sounding critical and scaring people off addressing the issues?

On matters singly ... my removal man is attractive. As HP notes, I've moved many times and hopefully this is for a good old while now and he's moved me 3 times. Anyway, he's normally friendly but businesslike and usually mentions his girlfriend. This time he was quite flirty and no mention of a girlfriend. Hmmmm.

The road I've moved into is small and people seem to know each other to chat to; so that will be nice. A good friend lives opposite too which is a bonus.

Oh God RS, sounds awful. It is quite scary how many people fall into a rut of a poor relationship and fail to do anything about it... I have seen it too, around me, and think thank goodness I am single! I am always surprised what people put up with.
