I saw a family walking along the road near Ilkley today (inland Yorkshire) carrying bodyboards and wearing wetsuits! Did look a bit odd. I assume they'd been to the river, which is fairly flat at that point.

Drizzly and dull here today, up until about 5:00, when the sun did pop out from the cloud for a bit.

Scorchio down here too. Though enjoyed a couple of hours sat on the beach. No surfers, but some stand up paddle boarders. Not sure if they look cool or a bit odd. But being Brighton, I'd go for cool |

I went to the Edinburgh Pride march on Saturday, mostly with a friend and her young daughter (cue a lot of misunderstandings of both our inclination and relationship status, I'm sure). I'm sure there's a definitely unfair advantage in the number of seriously gorgeous gay men but it certainly made for some very pleasant window shopping!

Was it just an excuse for massive amounts of alcohol to be consumed - or is that only Dublin?

I saw no alcohol consumption during the march itself, but it finished in the university district so those who didn't go into an indoor venue invaded Sainsburys and headed to the Meadows for a mostly liquid picnic. We went back for about three restocks I think; by the final one, it looked like a Soviet era grocery...poor staff didn't know what had hit them.

I only saw the aftermath in Dublin. I was down for a gig and knew nothing about the march until I arrived at Busáras only to find it awash with rainbow clad teens staggering from one bench to another. Come to think about it, I think it was the day they had the referendum on gay marriage. (Sshh - don't tell the DUP) |

I've decided to cancel the drink on Thursday. I'm feeling a bit pestered. He seems like a nice chap but is messaging too much then twice/3 times if I don't respond. Our phones are off at work outside break times so I'm only get the message at lunch time. We have no FB friends in common either, so that's another reason to cancel I think. |
