I'm trying to gather the enthusiasm to start posting here again, after Steve's death I really haven't had the heart. Tell you what, has everyone watched this episode of The Culture Show? It's really worth the effort and narrated by someone who really knows his stuff. Try and identify all the records as they come along |

My memory of Steve is that he loved a bit of f**ky soul (sorry NE) - he would love this - with a capital S |

Hey, I like that too It's the disgusting James Brown stuff I don't like, along with the obscure and souless bilge that the hard-core funk people go for.

The stuff I like then NE That T of P band is super tight whether it’s your genre or not Steve wasn’t really into funk when younger and posted at least once that he’d learned about it from posts on various music threads on here. Music is a very broad church |
