Suggestion for something else to add in : if you have the fastest time and someone beats you, then you get a notification, ie similar to if you lose ownership of a CQ zone

I'm sorry, I have read through the thread, and I still can't see how to sign the guest book. I went through WS's mile and the page is telling me that I have, but I can't see how to sign. Help

write something in the box, Chell - between where it says "sign the guest book" and add your comment."

so you could put "chell was here" or whatever

I've made the guestbook box a bit more obvious :-)

Just blogged about some of the stuff that goes into adding a new feature:

In the revised guest book box you say "Sign the guest book so other people can see you in the leaderboard"

Confused me a bit, as do you not appear on the leaderboards whether on not you sign the guest book ? I'm certainly on leaderboards for the miles I've added and I've not signed those guest books.

I though the guest book was just so you could comment on how you found the run, etc

My Stirling Uni mile fetcheveryone.com/mile-view.php?id=167 now has five times against it, however three are anonymous. One is very likely DavieO, as I was in contact with him about it, another likely someone who ran it on Saturday. The same for IanS's similar mile #187. Five times: three being anonymous, an owner, and a signer (him and me).

So contrary to the intention, it seems it is currently possible to assign a performance without signing the guestbook (or sharing maps in your training log).

There are three opportunities to make yourself visible on the leaderboard:

1) it's your mile
2) you've put your training settings to 'share maps'
3) you've signed the guest book.

Any of those three will make you visible.

@Dvorak - when I look at mile 167, I see five performances. Three are anonymous, one is you (owner of the mile), and the other is IanS (his settings permit it). When I look at mile 187, I see the same thing. I'm not sure what you're getting at :-)

How do I add a Fetch Mile?
Go to any entry in your training log, and look for the Build A Mile link just above the map. Click that, and drag the slider to highlight the relevant mile. Give it a name and a description, and save it!

Fetch's To Do List
6) Some way of picking up your historical visits
9) A way to see your own miles
11) Badges for creators and visitors
12) Everything else.

Fetch's Done List
1) Make run and bike into separate leaderboard tables
3) Ability to add an image.
2) A 'Back' button that returns you to the last-viewed area rather than home
4) Elevation graph
5) Larger clickable area for individual miles
7) Jump To Location box for easier navigation
8) Remove the 'Build A Mile' link if there's no GPS trace available
10) Leaderboard of people who have visited most miles
