8 miles in the rain today! That was miserable! But I'm more comfortably within target again now, and the 100 miles in a month badge is almost reachable!!

Well done Lesley xx

3 miles on Wednesday, 5 miles on Friday, 10 miles today, plus three classes at the gym during the week (including Metafit..where I felt as though a truck had hit me the next day!😂). Still a bit behind on mileage but catching up now the Sunday long runs are into double figures.

Steve, good that you are still enjoying your running, I think that is very important. I wouldn't still be running if I wasn't enjoying it.

Well done BarefootEm, it's always tough running in the rain, but is character building.

lin50, sounds like a tough week, but now that your Sunday long runs are into double figures, you will soon be racing up the league table.

I did a 9 mile recovery pace run on roads this morning. My legs were like jelly after yesterdays fartlek for the first few miles, but then I got into my stride.

11 miles around the streets of London today. I love my early morning jaunts around the city of my youth.

I'm sure I've talked about running in the rain before and moaned about the poor rain tops I've had! Wearing glasses also has something of an impact when it rains especially when it's dark although overall I (my wife too) quite enjoy the rain as long as it's not too cold! Not running today and doing weights etc--just want to remain steady throughout the year again.
Phew...recovery nine miler hillstrider! That would finish me off!!
Good jaunt Mrsb...ahh...lost youth! But I bet you're fitter and faster than back then!

First forest run for a few days this morning. Ran 8.3 miles battling a very strong, cold wind, and wading through mud and water. Much better than road running which I find rather boring these days.

I like tarmac, hillstrider!

I know it's probably not as good a surface for impact, strengthening, flexibility, etc., but there's a lot to be said for civilisation!

About to embark on a 5 miles home in the dark (on tarmac!). I find running makes commuting bearable!
