That's an impressive question for an 8yo, Columba!

Conversely I felt quite sorry for one of our local farmers, people seem to have decided under current rules they can just ignore the path and roam right through the field - which clearly has seedlings growing through.

Around here, ploughed up footpaths just get flattened again by people walking on them, or if it’s not a popular path it just stays lumpy. It would be quite difficult to plough a field and avoid the footpath unless it’s along the edge of the field.

This is a path in woodland so not a field. The path had previously been undisturbed for several years. However there is work going on in the woodland and I have no knowledge in this area so it could be quite legitimate. It just seems that as soon as a path starts to reappear through people walking the route he then ploughed it again.

Another rubbish day at work. 12 hours and accomplished next to nothing. However a delivery of free burgers & fries for lunch from Five Guys was much appreciated.

That sounds odd TR, going by the link Um posted, he shouldn’t be doing that. You could report it to your local PROW team but I wouldn’t be surprised if nothing happens, especially with what is happening right now. My local council has a map where you can see what’s reported and there are issues on there that haven’t been addressed for years. |
