There’s a Lake Disappointment on the Canning Stock Route in Western Australia. Apparently they hadn’t expected it to be salty and it was therefore no good for the cattle.

Fun fact: I briefly used to run with headphones and an ipod Nano. No, don't shoot me. It was a pain in the arse to change the playlist or artist or wevs as I had it on one of those arm things. It was supposed to be doing 'shuffle' but I'd got it alphabetical by artist somehow. The fecking thing played the whole of the Highway 61 Revisited album as I ran along the bleak Sussex coast and it saved Desolation Row - which is 11 minutes long - for going past the power station at Portslade. Never have I felt quite so depressed on a run.

I no longer listen to music while exercising.
