Is it about time for next year's race thread? I know some of the regulars have already entered, along with some new faces, and entries will reopen on Wednesday 4th September at 10am (https://www.greatermanchestermarathon.com/news/heres-can-secure-spot-2020-manchester-marathon/), so I think so...

So chat away... any questions ask away... any recommendations we're happy to hear them... let us know how your training is/isn't going... or feel free to lurk until the end of March and then share your hourly weather forecast watching worries...

the big question is whether you're going to do any training ahead of it this time around Nelly!!!

Not sure why that link didn't work - greatermanchestermarathon.com

I understand the (provisional) new route will be released at/about the same time as entries reopen. I still wonder about the benefit of taking the route through the city centre before 10am on a Sunday morning, but we will see.

WW - what do you mean, I am currently on a 4-day run streak ;-)

I'm in! Not really thought about it yet, and I hope the route change doesn't make it significantly slower. Unusually for me, I'm doing an autumn marathon (York) so hope to start the winter training in pretty good shape.

Nelly, hope you’re well. I recall you posting before that you had worked out that the likely new course would add xx elevation to the course. Was it significant? Thanks
