Fetch, doesn't that switch off other stuff though? Quite happy to get an email if someone sends me a msg, for instance, but I don't want an email telling me to look at the site because someone has written a blog.

Is there anything notification wise that's really email worthy? I'm getting them when my training is automatically logged via Garmin which I know about anyway. Blogs aren't that urgent and I leave the notification there for when I have time. Was this a feature request? |

It wasn't a feature request, it was something I'd always intended to put in place. It's one of the opt-ins when you sign up to the site, so unless users have specifically opted in to receive the email, they won't get it  People have been merrily opting in to it for over a year, so it was about time I made it happen. Arguably, it's not so interesting if you're regularly looking at them - but it seems that some folks don't even realise what notifications are. One user had about 9000 of them, despite being a visitor to the site reasonably regularly. So it's drawing attention to the feature, as much as anything. |
