You can choose just one artist to listen to for the rest of your life. Who will it be? Then we have to narrow it down a bit, you can only have one album, and it must be by your chosen artist. Finally, you must choose just one song. Again, it has to be by your chosen artist, but it can be any single track at all, it doesn't have to be from your selected album. Without any explanation, my deliberations lead to the following 3 selections. 1. Blur 2. Parklife 3. Under The Westway You will not be judged, there are no such things as guilty pleasures. Off you go... |

(The album was the hardest part to choose, there is no one album by them that is my absolute favourite, but compilations are not allowed.)

Joy Division Unknown Pleasures Disorder. Never forgotten hearing it for the first time; only bought the album because I’d recently bought New Order’s Power Corruption and Lies and then found out that JD were New Order + a different vocalist. Though it may be similar even though I’d never heard any JD at that point. It wasn’t similar at all, it was (and still is) unlike anything else I’d ever heard. This was the first track of the album, hairs shot up on the back of my neck, magic magic moment. Get flashbacks to that moment every time I listen to it. The album was released 40 years ago this week. |

McG, I had the guitar riff from Reptilia as my phone ringtone about 10 years ago. Never do this with a song, you will come to hate it.
