Sparkle, VLM was my first marathon and I made so many mistakes, walked from 19 miles and came in an hour later than planned. I've done others since and none have been as terrible. I hope you have a great race  (Snap!) |

Its been moving a little later every couple of years for a few years. Interesting they are moving it the other way this year. Possibly to allow a little extra time before roads need clearing

Yes, maybe that't the compromise they had to allow for to properly serve the 7hr30+ runners that were poorly served last year.

Glad for the earlier start, if it's a hot year it just gives that bit of extra time before the sun reaches its zenith!

They should do the American thing and start about 8am or earlier much more time for relaxing afterwards
