I've done a search, and quite surprised to find that I can't find a thread for this. Its something that I do occasionally when I fancy getting outdoors and out of the house with my son, and now I'm getting more and more in to it I'm finding it easier to locate stuff. I got a Garmin eTrex at Christmas so as to not clobber the battery on either my phone or watch and I have to say that's making things somewhat easier. Hoovered up a couple of dozen new finds just wandering around near my parent's home last week. Are there any other Fetchies who geocache? |

Just been today - we did a bit in Australia which is scary (lifting rocks which could have beasties under them). Getting harder to convince the kids to get out the house when playgrounds are closed. They loved it - we found the 2 we set out for. I've just ordered 30 quids worth of stuff off eBay to hide locally. Not sure I understand the collectable/trackables thing (didn't order any). We just use app on phone to find them.

Found 4, DNF 2. Some good ones. A slug, in a stick, a tin. Two were at Coal Tax Posts en.wikipedia.org I'd never heard of them before - interesting (especially as one was off the path). |

Just getting back into Fetching and saw this. I've done quite a lot of this with my air cadets, good to get them practicing navigation. Love the idea of the one that you've got to fill with water! I was wondering though, is it unwise at the moment? In terms of people touching caches that others have touched? I guess if no-one's found it for a few days it should be germ free, just a thought anyhoo
