It's okay, but like all events, the later you leave it the worse it gets. First wave sets off at 8:30 so I aim to be there before then.

Fed up of waiting to hear, I sent a message to the organisers via FB Messenger yesterday evening. I asked: "any decision on this year's RSR yet? I'm assuming it won't go ahead at the end of June, but with only seven weeks to go I haven't seen any announcement one way or another."

They replied: "we have a couple of contigencies planned for postponements - we’ll be sending out the latest comms very soon! Thanks for your message! You are right that the end of June is essentially impossible."

So, hopefully we'll know what the "contingencies" are soon.

They've been really slow to respond to the situation - the Round Donny run cancelled weeks ago and offered refunds or entry into next year's with a virtual run in September (I think, without digging out my emails)

I think it is quite safe to say, there won't be many races this side of the new year. Social distancing, even from Boris' garbled message is here until the autumn (schools not going back until september).

but yes, they should be saying, probably not because of money/admin, most races are shoestring affairs.

@Minardi, yes that's right, I follow their FB page (but didn't enter this year).

@WS, sadly I think you're right in terms of races this year, hopefully by next year we'll have moved on.
