Let's enjoy it while it lasts...don't let us be fooled though..brrr days are supposedly on their way again! Wish I could enjoy the current sun, I "turned" my foot yesterday and now have a swollen ankle on the same ankle which has been "iffy"! And that's just as I rejigged my target back to 1,000!

Good luck with your half marathon on Sunday PF. I very much doubt that you will get sun burnt.

Sorry to hear that you have now incurred more injuries to your left foot Steve. I suppose rest , ice, compression and elevation are in order.

Obviously important to stay safe out there everyone, but be aware that getting Vitamin D from the sun is important too at this time of year!

Crikey! I go away for a week and you all chat like mad! Have skimmed through the messages!

I’ve not managed to get any running in, but am hoping that long (very long) days spent walking around with a rifle and webbing will have fitness benefits. Not sure that sleeping under a basha when the temperature was -2c is beneficial to anyone though!

And now I am back, no one is talking!

Did Bramley 20 today - beautiful weather and my fastest paced long run ever - averaged 8.27min/mile with my slowest mile being 8.51min/mile. Very pleased with that after a marathon last week (did I mention I did a sub 4 marathon last week ;-P) and a parkrun yesterday! My knee seems ok.

Actually - I've run a half marathon at a faster pace now I think about it, but not anything 'properly long' if you see what I mean!

Excellent running Mrsb, a very impressive time. I've only run the Bramley 20 race once before, and that was back in 2013, where I paced a club mate who was doing the London Marathon.

Ran the Solent Half Marathon route this morning with 4 club mates. It was at a very steady pace, as we have the Oakhaven Forest Half Marathon in 2 weeks.
